The WOOLGATHERERS are a group of artists, designers, farmers, and environmentalists interested in the future of wool, who are investigating the potential for small scale enterprises, to add value to wool in the Herefordshire area. This project produced a traveling exhibition of interesting and innovative wool products housed in the ALACHIG tent.

The Woolgatherers started as a Leader II Herefordshire Hills project, which ran from 2000 to 2001. A smaller sister project EWE (European Wool Events) also a Leader II project ran from December 2000 to December 2001.
